NID-AP Library & Resource Centre catering the needs of the design fraternity and being the key department of the Institute, serves the information needs of the Learning Patrons, Research Scholars, Faculty Members and Staff Members. It aims high in information service and supports to achieve the Vision and Mission of the Institute. In context, the Institute Library with a key motive in disseminating knowledge shall equip itself with Digital Collection Development and Digital Services by fulfilling the core objective of Library Science - Right Information to the Right User at Right Time.

The LRC exclusively covers design-oriented books with around 3000 volumes and 40 subscribed print periodicals. Analyzing the potentiality of design, bound with technology LRC serves the patrons with 259 video DVDs for e-learning purpose.

Considering the extensive use on design magazines the LRC subscribes to MAGZTER database which has 5000+ magazines to its collection having wide range of magazines on art, design and textiles. Adopting the change in information access the LRC subscribes to various online databases EBSCO, JSTOR, BLOOMSBURY and journals which covers the design related titles from Elsevier, Emerald, Taylor & Francis, Oxford University Press, etc.

Integrating the offline and online resources the LRC provides a Digital Content Portal to serve the users with one point access to all information (Knowledge Hub). The patrons can access the Knowledge Hub for various information requirements via, PCs, Mobiles and IPads connected to the LAN network of the campus. (Portal Address: 192.168.160.30)

Enabling remote access to Koha-WebOPAC and all e-resources an e-Library platform has been powered by KNIMBUS through which the users (students and faculty members) are facilitated with remote access through a dedicated platform to the subscribed e-resources from various publishers, integrating all the resources under one roof.
