Foundation
The first year of the four-year B.Des program is known as the foundation. As the name suggests, it introduces design as a subject and involves multidisciplinary engagement. The foundation program structure has been carefully amassed together over a period of five decades.
Learning Outcomes
Fundamental concepts, materials, and methods that are common to all art and design practices. Critical design thinking, generative learning, problem-solving, and self-governed projects along with communication and representation methods. Identifying the real problem, and addressing them with creative application. By the end of this period, students are expected to grasp the fundamentals and develop individualistic thought processes.
